Humus, Nature’s way of helping

Humus is obtained from the digestion of earthworms which transform cattle and horse manure as well as plant waste into a soft, odourless product that is rich in nutrients.

It improves the chemical-physical characteristics of the soil such as its structure and its water retention. The enzymes, humic acids and plant hormones present are highly important to proper plant development. Furthermore, the activity of the micro organisms mean all the mineral nutrients required by plants can be easily assimilated through the roots.

Used in organic farming, humus is the great intermediary between the soil and the plant.
