Fruit trees: a treatment guide

Fruit trees need certain plant protection treatments. Here is what they are and when they should be carried out.

When the leaves fall, a basic copper treatment will help the plant to heal any wounds, gummosis and cankers.

When the buds increase in size before opening, a treatment with white oil combined with a generic insecticide is necessary to prevent many diseases.

When the plant is 20% in bloom, a fungicide treatment will keep moniliasis away (to be repeated when at 80% in bloom).

After blooming, an insecticide made from pyrethrum and combined with a fungicide will fight against plant lice and any fungus.

From May to June, treatments against fruit worms are carried out using a specific insecticide.
