How much do plants drink?

This is the question that all those who work with plants hate most! The fact is that the answer is really very complicated: every plant drinks in a different way, particularly in relation to

  • exposure to sun (more sun, more water)
  • position (in pots, it drinks more)
  • incalculable weather factors (a windy day, for example, makes the soil drier)

The only rule that exists is therefore to control the soil: when it is dry, you should water it generously, and as long as it is wet, it is not necessary to water it again.

Remember that it is much simpler to recuperate a plant suffering from thirst than one that is over watered.
