Winter is here, even indoors

December marks the transition from autumn to winter: the weather and the few hours of daylight both have their effect on indoor plants.

It is therefore necessary to find a suitable place for your plants: plants that love light should be put near a window, while those that prefer shade in corners away from direct light. You must also remember to keep plants away from heat sources.

Make the air less dry by putting dishes of water on the radiators. Another good way to prevent plants from drying out is to group them together in one corner so as to create a sort of humid microclimate, thus guaranteeing them a better chance of survival.

Powdery mildew, which can form on leaves and blocks the exchange of gases between the plant and the atmosphere, can be removed with a cloth soaked in water and milk.

Lastly, check the soil of your plants to see if they need watering.
