With summer around the corner, one of the biggest requests we receive is for a plant that is always in flower, has plenty of foliage, doesn’t need much watering and doesn’t shed.
The moment of truth has arrived: there is no such thing as the perfect plant! Anything that flowers a lot will shed and requires water and food. Apart from succulents, it is practically impossible to find a plant variety that meets all those needs.
If you have somewhere you can plant in full soil, the situation does change somewhat, particularly regarding water. Remember, however, that for the first few years your plants will nonetheless require attention; only later can you forget about them to some degree.
